Description:
How do I “talk” with children in a Play Therapy session?  How do we communicate? What do I say? What don’t I say? Come learn about how to speak the Language of play therapy – one of the foundational skills in working with children.

CE Approvals:
6 CORE hours LPC (pending)
6 APT hours (Approved Provider #16-460)


Objectives:
  • Participants will demonstrate understanding of language development in children and adolescents
  • Participants will demonstrate knowledge of basic play therapy language skills
  • Participants will practice play therapy skills of tracking, reflecting, processing metaphors.
  • Participants will explore and create various interventions using play therapy language
  • Participants will demonstrate understanding of the therapeutic value of interacting through foundational language of play therapy
  • Participants will explore case studies and ways to interact with clients using play therapy language skills
