Sometimes life can get hard. It can feel overwhelming. During those times it can be really powerful to have someone you can talk to. Someone who will listen, without judgement, and help you find your best path back to wellness. I work with clients of all ages experiencing a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, self-harm, grief, divorce, and trauma. I believe that you are the expert on who you are, and work to create a relationship that allows you as the client to achieve your own goals in a way that works best for you. I do this through both traditional talk therapy and a more hands on, activities based approach to allow you to gain a different perspective on your current struggle.
Hi! I’m Lyndsay Deal. I earned my Master of Education with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgia Southern in July 2020. I am a National Certified Counselor and a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. I love working with couples, and I have completed specialized training in relationship counseling, including treating relationship trauma and affairs and premarital counseling. I also enjoy working with parents as they navigate all of the joys, pains, and uncertainties of parenthood. My other interests involve managing anxiety and depression, self-esteem concerns, and trauma recovery. I have experience working with young adults, adolescents, and children.
As a counselor, I am compassion-focused and I believe you are the expert on your experience. I believe that it is my role to listen with empathy, understanding, and without judgment in order to help you understand yourself better. My approach to counseling is collaborative and based on the belief that you are capable of self-acceptance, change, and growth. Together, we will explore how certain thoughts, behaviors, and circumstances impact your current wellbeing and develop a plan to achieve your goals for counseling. I look forward to working with you, and I am truly honored to be a part of your journey!
Hi, I’m Lynly! I’d love to be invited on your wellness journey. Whether exploring familial and relational issues, adapting boundaries and self-care, or processing trauma, I see therapy as an altruistic process. Whether we are working through anxiety, depression, anger, unresolved trauma, or simply learning to cope with life changes, I believe in the power of synergetic nervous system regulation to promote authenticity and empowerment.
I feel comfortable working with families, couples, adults, and children of all ages! Being a parent, I am especially passionate about the development and well-being of children. I graduated with my B.A. in 2010 from Valdosta State University and worked in social service settings such as CASA as a children’s advocate. I began my journey as a developmental therapist in 2013 working with children on the Autism Spectrum and their families incorporating behavioral therapy. I graduated in 2020 with my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and utilize my professional and personal experiences to help families no matter what the need.
Through the development of my career and professional identity, I became passionate about social justice and the importance of advocacy within the mental health field. As a therapist, my goal is to help reverse individual and community biases within my work and promote universal allyship.
