I am Natosha Edenfield, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor.  My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and a Master of Education in Counselor Education.  After completing my Master’s degree, I became a middle school counselor.
Counseling is my true passion.  I strive to be genuine, empathetic, and honest.  My ultimate goal as a counselor is to instill hope, by establishing a human connection to empower clients to gain insight and build upon their strengths. I have an understanding that clients not only want to be listened to but to be heard, validated, and understood.  I am a “wounded healer” who knows what it feels like to be in pain, and know what it takes to heal the pain.
During the past eight years, I have worked mostly with teenagers/adolescents in dealing with life’s challenges, such as divorce, grief, anxiety, depression, physical, sexual, verbal abuse, self-harm, anger, obsessive compulsive disorder, effects of having an incarcerated parent or parent with an addiction, and cyber-bullying/social media.  Although I have more experience working with teenagers, I have also worked with adults who face similar challenges and greatly benefit from a safe, accepting, environment where a therapeutic alliance is formed.
Being willing to share your story and personal struggles is a huge part of the healing process. Also, having a sense of humor is a major asset throughout the counseling process.  Laughter heals the soul!
