Facilitating Groups in
Equine-Assisted Counseling

Description:
This workshop will review foundational group counseling skills, theories, and techniques, as well as presenting foundational equine assisted counseling techniques.  Participants will learn in the classroom until the lunch break, and then will actually transition out to Copeland Farm to practice with our horse partners.

Objectives:
  • Participants will review basic skills, techniques, and theoretical approaches of group counseling
  • Participants will understand basic elements of equine-assisted counseling, based on the Eagala model
  • Participants will practice group facilitation while using horses in groups.
